Are these the same tests my doctor uses?

Yes, these are the same tests used by physician offices.

Does insurance pay for these tests?

Your insurance does not pay the pharmacy to administer the test, so we do not bill insurance. Unfortunately, pharmacists are not recognized as medical providers.

  • We do accept HSA/FSA for payment.
  • We can provide you with a receipt that you can file with your insurance for reimbursement.

What should I do with my results?

We suggest that you do notify your physician of the test results. There are influenza medications that can treat the FLU, but they must be started within 48 hours of symptom onset.

There are antiviral medications available to treat COVID-19 at home, but they are only indicated for mild to moderate symptoms and they must be started within 5 days of testing positive.

We are hoping that Arkansas will recognize pharmacists as providers and will soon allow us to test and treat, but that legislation is still in the works.

Your physician will still have to provide the prescription for the treatment.

Worried you might have COVID, strep, or the flu?

Could it be allergies or something else? Do not leave it up to chance! Getting a test is the best thing for your health, plus that of your family, friends, and loved ones. Scheduling a test is easy, and you do not even have to get out of your car!
